As Lingusamy has two different roles for Suriya in the film, sources claim this clean-shaven look is for one of the roles in the film.

A source says, "Suriya's portions for Anjaan are not yet over. He has shot for a major portion in Mumbai with a beard. Now, in the middle of the shoot, the actor is back to his regular style. So, this could be his look for the other role in the film."
